Animals on our Walk

Hi Everyone

This morning whilst walking Alfie through one of the colleges here in Cambridge we came across a beautiful muntjac who was a very short distance away from us, at first I thought it was another dog and then I realised as it turned what it was. Alfie and I stood for a while and watched until he wandered off into a wooded area.

The muntjac symbolises grace, compassion, gentleness, meekness and natural beauty. It has feminine qualities and may point to the feminine aspect within yourself. It also represents independence and alertness. Alternatively, the muntjac represents vulnerability and naivety. As a result, others may take advantage of you.

Not only were we met by a wonderful muntjac we also encountered a huge dragonfly and my friend from the pond whom I have mentioned before in a post, the Heron.

The dragonfly represents major transformation and regeneration. The Dragonfly lives a short life, and it knows it must live to the fullest with what it has. This lesson is huge for each of us.

And finally the Heron, whilst I stood watching him, I asked if he had anything to share with me, nothing came back at all, so I asked one more time and again I received nothing. He sat focused and silent looking at the water patiently. I started to walk away no longer having an attachment to the outcome and he said ‘Don’t sweat the small stuff!’. Which resonated on so many levels for me.

It was such an animal packed walk I wanted to share it with you all.

Much love xx
